The company focuses its investments on B locations in major metropolitan regions and in selected B cities. “Before we make any acquisitions, our due diligence is painstaking,” said Andreas Lewandowski, Managing Director of German Asset Management. “Our value-add strategy draws on excellent research and outstanding property market expertise. Commercial property beyond traditional prime locations offers the prospect of seriously attractive yields,” said Lewandowski. GAM has so far invested in office and retail properties in a range of German cities, including Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden, Hannover and Erfurt. The company specialises in investment and asset management and operates across a range of risk categories. In addition to investments in core properties, the company also invests in the value-add segment. “Modernisations add value and enable us to achieve higher rental prices,” said Lewandowski.
